A pathway for apprenticeship to Jesus

Practising the Way

Starting on Sun 28 July we are beginning a new series and we’d love to invite you to join a life group. Based on the book “Practising the Way” by John Mark Comer, the course is designed to be a discipleship tool.  Ultimately, it’s goal is to train you to live as an apprentice of Jesus: to be with Jesus, become like him, and do as he did.

The Practicing the Way Course features eight sessions of teaching, guided conversation, and spiritual exercises designed to
lay a foundation for lifelong apprenticeship to Jesus.

Over the eight sessions, you’ll form a foundational understanding of intentional spiritual formation. We’ll explore how to follow Jesus in our busy, distracted, and increasingly secular culture.
Each session is comprised of teachings, guided discussion, tutorials, and voices from experts.

Practising the Way Spiritual Health Reflection

Before beginning the course you are invited to participate in a Spiritual Health Reflection which will inform your own personal journey through the course.

The Spiritual Health Reflection is a self-assessment tool designed to help you gauge your inner life with God and the person you are becoming in Christ. It typically takes about 5 - 10 minutes to complete.

We suggest taking the Reflection in a quiet, distraction free place, when you have the time to work through it slowly. After you’ve finished the questions, you’ll be provided with a visual overview of different aspects of your spiritual formation and suggestions for next steps.

The Reflection is designed as an ongoing tool to track the trajectory of your formation over time.
