If your child just needs a couple of lessons, you can pay for a casual swim lesson upon availability. The cost is $22.50 per class. Casual lessons can only be booked NO more than one week in advance

  • We recognise the importance of all year-round swimming not only for fitness and swimming progression but for the fact it saves lives.

There is a 3-week closure over the Christmas/New Year family celebratory period for Learn to Swim. You will also have the option to use an additional 4 weeks off at any time throughout the year on completion of a Class Hold Request Form and will be guaranteed your placing on return. If you wish to take a longer break your child will be taken out of their scheduled lessons and will be placed on a waitlist subject to availability on return. As a not-for-profit organisation Goodlife Swim School are committed to providing affordable prices, clients are charged via fortnightly payments.

  • If your child’s lesson falls on a public holiday (outside of the three weeks closure at Christmas) they are entitled to a makeup lesson within the following three months. We highly recommend make-up lessons be booked as close to the missed lesson as possible. Please email swimschool@goodlife.org.au to arrange this.

  • In the event you cancel your child’s lesson, they will be offered a make-up lesson. Make-up lessons will need to be booked a week in advance and must be used within three months of the original lesson.

We will do our best but cannot guarantee times will always be available to suit your needs. In this instance we offer a family swim pass to be used for admission to our outdoor 25-metre and toddler pools.

Make up lessons will not be offered for any absence of a scheduled lesson that has not been notified to reception or the swim school office via phone or email. We ask that you give us two hours notice if your child will not be attending their class.

  • Our class hold option is perfect for holidays or when make-ups are difficult due to personal commitments.

    • Up to four weeks of class holds are available free of charge every 12 months.

    • A three-week closure applies over Christmas/New Year.

    • Holds longer than four weeks require a medical certificate.

    • Two weeks' notice is required.

    • Your child’s spot will be held for up to four weeks. Longer absences (without a medical certificate) may require re-enrolment upon return.

To request a class hold, please submit the Class Hold Request Form via email or at reception two weeks in advance. Forms are available below or at the front desk.

    Class Hold Form

  • Mon - Fri 9am - 2pm & 3.30pm - 5.30pm
    Sat & Sun CLOSED

We love email, it is the best way to make an enquiry to swimschool@goodlife.org.au.

  • All children under the age of three years are required to wear a properly fitted swim nappy for the duration of the swimming lesson.  The cost of having to clean the pool if an accident occurs is extreme and will also cause all lessons that day to be cancelled.  Only once the child is completely toilet trained are they exempt from this policy.

We reserve the right for our instructors to refuse inclusion of your child into the pool without appropriate swim nappy or if they are wearing a soiled swim nappy.

All children from Courage 3 up are required to wear goggles and a cap.  This helps to prevent sore eyes from chlorine and hair loss in the pool.

All children perform activities without goggles in their class to help develop water confidence in situations where they may not have goggles.

Nappies, goggles and caps are all sold at the front counter for your convenience.

Level Five through to Eight (stroke development classes) 4 children per class. Level Nine there are 5-7 students and Level Ten (advanced stroke development) there are 7 students per class.

  • To ensure your child is placed in a class that best suits their needs and ablility, we provide a FREE assessment for every child over 3 years of age.

  • Babies (Level 1) classes up to Level 9 are a 30-minute class. Level 10 lessons are 45 minutes. Squad lessons vary see the squad page for further details.

  • We follow Royal Lifesaving Guidelines and classes are cancelled if there is an electrical storm at Goodlife with serious risk or lightening in the area. Classes resume 30 minutes after the last strike of lightening in the area. If we cancel classes you will be notified by sms message to your nominated mobile number. In the event that a class is cancelled, a makeup lesson or swim pass will be offered.

  • Children are able to swim in the outdoor pool before or after their lesson, during public swimming times. We do ask that they try to refrain from swimming before their lesson to save their energy for the class. We are unable to offer use of the indoor pool.

  • It is highly recommended that parents/carers in baby (wonder) classes wear a t-shirt in the pool. Children are taught to reach out independently and grab; wearing loose clothing makes this much easier. Children under the age of 3 years are required to wear a swim nappy in the pool at all times. Goggles and cap are recommended for children 3 years and up. During safety week children are asked to bring clothes to swim in and to swim without goggles.

  • We have beautiful new facilities for both the indoor and outdoor pool areas that include heated showers and toilets.

  • Bubble Babies is an informal in-water session for infants and children from ten weeks to 12 months of age, aimed at introducing water awareness and familiarisation in a tranquil and stress-free environment. Our highly skilled Swim Australia qualified teacher will be on hand to answer your aquatic related questions and demonstrate water activities for you to practice at home. These sessions are more casual, rather than a class. Bookings are essential. The group size is larger than classes but numbers are limited.

  • We offer private lessons on request. Please call the swim school or contact us by email.
